Eviction domestic dispute

Hope this is in the right forum. My next door neighbor has broken off her relationship with an abusive boyfriend. He's been in two fights recently in the neighborhood. People complained and she got a 30 day eviction notice. She's not an idiot. She's done right, broken it off and moving on. The rental office has told her she can stay if she gets a restraining order on him. They have a daughter. She doesn't want to do this because she thinks it will prevent their 1 year old daughter from seeing her dad. Question is can she get the restraining order on her child's father and him still have visitation to his child? She's in school to be a nurse. She needs to keep her home to do right for her child. If she can get the restraining order and he can keep visitation, how does that work?

One step at a time.
Get the restraining order, or she'll be EVICTED, looking for a new home.
An EVICTION ruins your credit, worse yet, it'll be DECADES before she'll be considered as a possible tenant for decent housing, even public housing.

Her unwillingness to think of her child first, instead of this bully, could cause her to jeopardize that which she professes to love, her child.

Unless she chooses wisely, things might soon be out of her control.

There's much more to what the bully is doing than just his anger.
At any rate, bullies usually encounter maniacs who dispatch them to the great beyond.
