Equal Oppurtuniy Employment Rights

I tried to get a job at wal-mart and i went through three interview and they said they wanted to hire me i passed their mandatory drug screen and they said they had to do a background check. They then called me after a week and told me i could not be hired because i was not "competive" i am wondering if that is a violation of equal oppurtunit employer rights?

I don't understand your post. What is competive? Did you mean competitive? Or completive?

Is there something on your background coming up that you are not aware of? Did they call one of your past employers?

You might have to call the hiring manager to get a beter explanation.
