I am a real estate agent and recently my client and I had a run in with our Homeowners association. Afterward I foolishly vented my frutrations to a friend and called two of the members a name. It had also come to my attention that the hiring practices (board member hiring board members) were questionable. I e-mailed two former board members and asked (not stated) questions regarding the hiring practices. 3 weeks later the association has put together a letter to send to my broker to complain about about me. I had not really given the issue much thought since then. They have never sent me anything!! This is an attempt to get me fired and seems totally retaliatory....what do I do??

What was the nature of their complaint?

Until or unless you are actually fired you have no damages.

thanks.....just the threat that I would obtain legal counsel if they contacted my emplyer was enough. they have "changed" their minds
