Can an employer legally 'fine' employees who are on salary for being late? One of our unit supervisors has been holding back a day's wage and sending the late persons home when they are late. He also sometimes 'fines' them $50 for being late to work. We're talking about late as in maybe 15 minutes or so, maybe an hour sometimes. All of us are on salary, and work a minimum of 55 hours each week, sometimes up to 90 hours or more.
