A friend of mine in Georgia worked at an accountants and did some tax returns for free for some friends. She later resigned and now the boss is withholding her final paycheck ($500) and asking for $1200 to cover the time/paperwork involved in these 3 small tax returns. This amount seems way too high to be justifiably. He is threatening legal action for theft if he is not paid soon. What should she do? Should she take him to small-claims to recover her paycheck? Is it worth the risk. She left about 4 weeks or so ago....
