Ebay purchase

I am sure this was addressed before. My friend purchased an $800 camera on e-bay which he never recieved. After several unanswered e-mails, and contacting e-bay, they were only able to recover $300. Is this common? Is there anything else he can do to get this money?? Apparently after doing some research, this wasnt the first time this guy had done this. How do these "sellers" get away and are able to keep doing this?

I have seen many victims like you.............Many lose a whole lot. Just get what you can and move on. The law and time is complex on such issues and many waste time just to recover nothing. Keep trying but know when to quit. You are not the only one.

I am one of those victims. Unfortunately, people keep scamming because they know very few people will do anything about it.
