My daughters mom is canceling my visitation for a doctor appointment but gave me options to make up visitation on a different day. I want a dr note but she won't give it to me because she is not required to. She has full legal custody. She also said she doesn't need to ask me first for any doctor appointments because she's not ordered to......can I demand a doctor's note?

Can I refuse to sign the agreement paper for my make up visitation because I told her to put in that she will provide me the doctors note but she won't ? She said if I don't sign it then I am refusing my own make up visitation......we are ordered to make an agreement document for any change to custodial periods for any reason

Why live your life fighting her?
If your custody agreement has a provision for missed days, simply document this occasion and take the make up day.
You still get the same amount of time with your kid.
If this happens too often, your child is very ill, or she's lying.
By documenting the matter, you can take it to the judge one day.
I don't mean after two or three occasions, but many more.
Remember, it's not about some woman, mate, it's about a kid you love.

It doesn't happen often it's the first actually but I just want a doctor note. The court order didn't say anything about make up time it only said she has decisions and doesn't need to speak with me beforehand. It does not say a word about visitation make ups, only for us to make an agreement paper.

It also said to make an agreement paper with both signatures for any change to custodial periods even a one time change but I refuse to sign it without a doctors note and she tells me if I refuse it then I am refusing my own make up visitation.

Can she do this?

I requested to switch a day with her to take my daughter to her friend's birthday party and she did the agreement paper without a problem amd switched the day without a problem. She has always given me approval for switching days or offer me make up times if i have plans that interfere with me visiting my daughter. So, why can't I have what I requested of her for a doctors note?

It's just not worth fighting over. If you think she's lying about the appointment, call the doctor and confirm the appointment. Or just let it go. It sounds like she's normally cooperative and ya'll are able to work things out. Why do you want to jeopardize that over this one day.

I don't have any medical information she said if I want to go I can but I never go to any of the dr appointments. I just want a doctors note as my lawyer suggestted

To prove that my daughter went to the doctors since my visitation was cancelled and I won't sign the make up visitation agreement until I have the note.. From my daughters mom/ I want to go back to court so I need to use it against her .

Idon't feel the need to go to any appointments as I have a fiancee and we can take care of my daughter the same way as her mom I can take her to the doctors by my self and I can make decisions for her I want to have my own parenting plan apart from her I basically want everything she is doing and has with our daughter

Go tell a judge that, and see how far it gets you.

I'm going to address your initial question only.

Unless there is a court order that expressly states that you are entitled to a doctor's note if your visitation is missed due to a doctor's appointment, then you are not entitled to one and you cannot demand it.

Wow. Court orders does not say I'm entitled to a doctors note or have any make up visitations. It says if there are any changes, it needs to be put on an agreement paper with both signatures.

So I am refusing my own make up visitation by refusing to sign the agreement document just because she refuse to provide the doctors note?? She can tell me that I'm refusing my own make up visitation since I refuse to sign?

Isn't being with your precious child worth the inconvenience of agreeing to a make up visit?

If you say you'll walk over hot coals to be with your precious child, taking an alternative date is a no brainer.

Make it ALWAYS for the benefit of your child.

That way, accommodation becomes much more palatable, pal.

That's right, you are. Since there is a court order saying you have to sign the agreement document, but there is not a court order saying she has to give you a doctor's note.

Use what against her? She hasn't done anything wrong. FFS just call the doctor's office. If you don't know what doctor your daughter goes to, that's an issue in and of itself.

Your own parenting plan apart from your ex? What does that even mean? YOU had a child with your ex. YOU have to deal with her until the child is an adult. Why is that so hard for people to understand?
