Two months ago I submitted all the forms requesting a divorce AND all the ANSWER forms signed and notarized by my wife, to the county clerk office. We were in full agreement on all settlement items and there are no children. She has since left the country. A hearing date has been set for 8/13/09 but I am currently on active duty in the Army, stationed at Ft Lewis, WA and can not make the court date. The judge's office told me that was OK but I need to submit an affadavit stating all items in the initial petition for divorce are still true, and that I have to file a Motion for Judgment on the Pleadings. I obtained that form, but it appears to be a form to use if the defendant (wife) did not answer the initial complaint within 30 days. But she DID answer the complaint and I already submitted all her ANSWER froms and VERIFICATION forms. So...What do I need to submit if I can't make the date? Just an affadavit? Is there some other form I need?
