Im a 27 year old Indian girl. I was married in India to an Indian a year ago. He has been working here on H1 for about an year now. I have recently joined him on H4. We were not happy with each other right from the beginning. off late it has become too difficult to live together. I have now decided to file a divorce . Im not expecting any property or money from him. I just need a divorce. Is it possible to get a divorce from him here in US. Im asking this because we were not married in US. Also if I have a valid H1. Can I transfer my H4 to H1 and continue staying here in US even after divorce.
