I am an Indian, pursuing my doctorate degree at Hamburg University, Germany. I have been here since 3 years now and will be continuing here for another two years. I am having problems with my husband and I would like to file for a divorce. My husband is also an Indian and is presently in India and we got married in dec 2000 in India.
I would like to know whether it would be possible to file for a divorce here in Germany? If so, how long will it take and I would like to know the formalities for the same.
