Dismissed shop lifting charge.

Hey curious i applied for a banking job and was accepted all pending federal background check. 6 years ago i was arrested for shoplifting i had a lawyer and had the charges dismissed. Could this come back and haunt me? The hiring manager knows me and said the training class wasnt full and still needed a lot of people, so i think this might work in my favor.

Some companies dig deeper than others depending on the job applied for. It's possible the arrest "might" show up on a background check with the notation dismissed.

Were the charges dismissed or was the dismissal part of a plea deal in which you still fines etc?
