I live in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I am in the middle of doing a divorce process by myself. I submitted a decree of reference to the virginia beach court house without the defendant's signature. I received the decree of reference today 3/19/08, signed and dated by the commisioner and stamped and signed by the judge. I was wondering what the next step is. We already went to court for custody and child support prior to the divorce case so it was not part of the divorce. What do I do now? DO i have to fill out any more papers? If you know the STEPS in the divorce process...can you please summarize it into easier terms?
