credit cards and joint accounts

a family member is in divorce proceedings presently.....it is believed the wife has an existing credit card account with someone else:

1. How can we find out?
2. Doesn't she have to have that in the Discovery(that's all I know it as) of assets and debts?

3? How to discover other stuff (financially)?

When you start discovery in your lawsuit, you can find out all this info.

does that mean he has to actually know of anything existing and ask for it or do they pull up SS #'s and find out?
