My ex husband is in arrears for approx $2500 in c/s plus approx $1500 in unreimbursed medical expenses that he is responsible for. Since the court order in 2001, my income has increased 3x. I want to have Suffolk County collect the $ from him....he has stopped pymt on checks and bounced many....and then Suffolk Cnty would remit to me directly.
I would like to request a cost of living increase but am I risking a reduction in the amount of child support because my income has increased? His has increased as well. Combined income is over $80k. Any thoughts?
