The company I worked for was forced close down on Dec. 1st.
The company was based in Texas, I was a sales rep in Fl.
We were paid a minimal salary (12,000) per yr plus commissions and bonuses.
Commissions is what paid my families bills.

Our regular pay day was the last day of the month. We were paid the $1,000 salary and commissions. The commission were for the work done the prior month. (ie. loans closed in Oct. were paid on the last day in Nov.)
We were told Dec. 1 that we would be getting paid our full commissions for the work done in Nov.
On Dec. 14 I recieved a check for 1days pay along with my expense reimbursement.
Today, I recieve a phone call telling me that the creditor who took over my company is only willing to pay me 50% of my commissionable work done in Nov.
Is this legal?
Also, since the $1000.00 per month is salary, shouldn't I have been paid the whole $1000 since I did work up to 3:00 (this is when we were told the company folded) on Dec.1 not just 1 days pay.
Sorry so long, I wanted to provide as many facts as possible.
Thanks,
Kevin
