Hello,

I have been paying my child support and one of my kids is getting ready to turn 18. I do owe arrears, due to loss of job years ago. Have been employed gainfully for 6 years now. I am paying 564 a month for 2 children. Now, when he turns 18 in May, Am I going to have to pay the same amount? Should I go to court about this? I am not saying that I am not going to pay arrears, I owe it, but can I get it modified or lowered? Thanks for any advice.

Yes you can still apply to get the 18 yr old emancpated and off child support, and the court will likely though add an amount to your monthly obligation for arrears.
