I was wondering what the law is for child support in california. What age can you collect up until & is there a statue of limitations as to when you can go after the parent if they have not paid for many years. What if you are already of age but want to go after your dead beat father?

Child support is owed to the parent, not the child so the parent would have to go after them.

Was there an actual order for support? I am not sure if there is a SOL on past due child support but the parent should contact CSE, or a CS collection agency to see if they can help.
