I have sole custody of my son. Legal and physical custody. The father of my son has not established paternity, nor is he on the birth certificate. He has never paid any child support. I have been summons to court by him for emergency custody.. how is this possible? What does this mean?
If the male hasn't established paternity, it appears that he is now attempting to establish his paternity, begin paying child support, and seek some type of visitation with the child.
So, you simply hire yourself a lawyer (or appear without one, YOUR call), and see what the man is trying to do.
Relax, if he is the father, not much you can do.
In our society, we believe that child is better off having a father and a mother in his or her life.
If he isn't the father, a paternity test will reveal the TRUTH, your life won't change.
So, show up as directed, and see what he is trying to do.
Until the appointed day and time arrives, you'll just be guessing.
