I have a 3 mo old son and the father and I have never married. Can he keep me from moving out-of-state?

I would love to know the answer as I also have a child that I have not gone to court for custody of and would like to know how all of this works. I have been the sole support for my for the last two years (he is only 2). His father lived with us for the 1str year and then moved out. He visits only occasionly maybe once a month, does not provide any support and does not help out. When we go to court he will ask for custody as a way of having access to me ... he has two other children. He does not have custody of either of them. He has not seen one of them in almost 2 years and the other one he sees sporadically. Please advise me too.
