Hi there

I understand from my (Atlanta)-based attorney that no modifications to child support orders can be made for a period of 2 years. However, I've now lost my employment and need to petition the Court for a temporary modification until I am re-employed.

Can anyone advise on this - and whether or not I need to have a lawyer do this on my behalf?

Thanks to anyone has who experience and can reply to this thread.

The beast must be fed.
The beast doesn't care about your circumstances.
I could bore you with why, I won't.
You are always free to seek redress of your grievances by going to court.

The first amendment guarantees all of that right.

You are also guaranteed the right to be your own lawyer, sixth amendment.

So, find your forum, complete the forms, prepare yoru motions, ready yoru legal argument.

You have a right to be heard.

You will be heard, but the beast is a very hungry, voraciously hungry beast.

So, you'll be granted that hearing, but it will fall on deaf, legal ears.

The meter will keep on running, the debt will increase, and you'll still be required to feed the hungry beast.

After a period of time, the hungry beast will take legal action.

You could be incarcerated, your licenses and or certificates will be revoked, your income tax refunds will be confiscated; because the beats must be fed!!!!
