Question:
"Bob" is in the Army. He is maried and has kids. "Bob" is stationed overseas for six months, and the wife and kids are in the U.S. The wife is cheating on "Bob." If Bob asks for a divorce, how can Bob get custody of the kids? The wife doesnt work and has never worked a 'real' job.

How does the husband plan to deal with the children 6 months out of the year? This would seem critical, wouldn't it?! Additionally, just because the wife is committing some infidelity doesn't mean that it is alone a basis to take custody of the children.

who are you

who are you in this situation? i think you should mind your own business and stay out of it. if the wife is cheating, thats no concern of yours.

Bob needs to see an attorney but it is highly unlikely a parent active military stationed overseas is going to get custody. Bob should see an attorney or JAG but you do not get custody just because infidelity is taking place. Also if its not too late a paternity test might want to get done on the kids, but that might be totally irrelevant now.

Bob can at least get a visitation schedule set up with the kids.
