we are both currently u n employed and she has had to file for welfare and the county want to come after me for child support for her to get welfare we both do not want this is there any thing we can do to keep the government out of this
because of a temporary situation welfare i s need but could have lasting effect on both of us because we switch who has are little one for different parts of the year all this has been done to this point with out the involvement of the courts

The simple answer is "no".

If the county wants to come after you for reimbursement (and rightly so - please think about this...why should the taxpayers support your child?), they're going to come after you.

In order to avoid repaying the state due to being on welfare is to not get any welfare. If any state aid is sought the state will seek money and child support ordered
