A year ago my Grandfather died. He was in an elderly apartment complex, one that had emergency pull cords all over the apartment. Anyway, he was injured and the emergency cord in the bathroom was pulled. No one responded for over an hour. 911 was called by a neighbor who saw his light above his door going off after he had already been laying on the floor unconcious for over an hour.
Can I sue the apartment complex for negligence in not responding to the emergency pull cord? Would my mother (it was her father that died) have to be the one to sue if it's possible?
