An employer in Texas can't take the money out of your pay unless you've signed an agreement for that to be done.

I suspect you might wish to look for new employment, even if you do reimburse the employer.

He can fire you (not just suspend you) if you don't agree.

If he suspends you without pay, that's the same as being fired. No work = no pay = fired. File for unemployment immediately. Don't believe for a minute that it's temporary, no matter what he tells you.
