Latin for - a common law principle indicating that courts will not sit in judgment of extremely minor transgressions of the law.


Bottom line: our courts take no note, or have no interest in the time your employer orders you to clock out for your break.

CO is one of the few states that requires rest breaks.

Federal law requires that breaks of under 20 minutes be paid. The law does not take a stand on clocking in and out per se. If you get paid for the time, it's all good. If you aren't, you can file a complaint with the CO wage and hour people. Do not expect it to be a high priority.
