I have a six year old unclassified misdemeanor. I am in the review process with a large company. Today they told me my check was under legal review. Should I be optimistic or pessimistic.

You should be neither optimistic or pessimistic.
You should be patient, and while waiting prepare an explanation that would support the company's decision to hire you!

Really there is no way for us to know. It depends on what is found (what your history is), job being applied for, the individual employer & so on.
