I'm just trying to find out why I can't get back childsupport? When I was 17 I got pregante and my boyfriend left me, I filled out papers for public aide to get medical and put his name down as the father. I ended up moving out of state, I thought that if they found him I would hear from them, but never did. When I came back to il, I found where he was living and went after him for childsupport, I only get $40 a week and when I asked about back childsupport They said he didn't have to pay it because I didn't go after him when my son was first born.
I was young and thought that public aide was going to take care of that for me, so is there a way of getting back childsupport at all?
