amending a separation agreement

is it possible to amend a separation agreement that has already been notarized? The paperwork for the divorce is just starting to roll and an addition needs to be made to our custody agreement. Our custody arrangement has been set forth in our separation agreement and am hoping that an additonal clause can be inserted (both parties agree to the new terms). HELP

As long as it has not been made a part of the court order simply execute a new agreement. Your attorney should be able to handle this with no problem.
