Is there a drop dead date for filing your initial claim? I have been looking for a job for the past month and a half after being let go through no fault. Can I still apply?

You can apply but you can not retro the claim. It would pick up (if approved) starting when you file.

Yes, you can still apply but you will not get back pay if you are approved for benefits.

However, if you were certified for 6 months of benefits, you'll still get the 6 months of benefits, whether you had filed 6 weeks ago, or whether you file next week.
