1st Offense Simple Posession Paraphenelia

My vehicle was searched at a gas station and they supposidly found marijuana in my girlfriends truck. They charged me with simple posession and paraphenelia both first offense charges. When i spent my night in county the next morning they served me with papers with the name Ray instead of Roy (if that matters) i need to know my options i have a kid on the way and i currently am in between construction jobs. I am a good honest hardworking guy and im unfamiliar wwith my legal options in this state. Please help.

Appear as instructed, be polite, confess to nothing, give no statements, plead not guilty, ask the judge to appoint a lawyer to represent you, meet with the lawyer, discuss your options, decide what you'll do.

Most of all, stay out of additional trouble until this is settled.

Leave the dope alone, they'll be testing you.
