17 year old mum wants her baby girl back

two months before my baby was born she was referred to social services and has been under the catagory of neglect due to the fact that i am so young and my partners past.
just over a month ago after an incident with a very arguementitive neighbor i had to hand my daughter over to social services and she is now living with my aunty, i want to know how long can she stay with my aunty before social services have to give her back?
i heard they have to make a decision within six months or get a court order is this true?

I take it you are not in the US? nobody on here can likely help you. Out here, you would be given a case plan to get your act together. you would be required to take parenting classes, and to finish school and get a job. You should look into doing all of these. You have to prove to social services you are capable of properly taking care of a baby. If you continue with your troubled life then they may not give the child back to you. What have you done to improve your ife?
