I know I sound old fashion but I need some advice on direct deposit. I live in Kansas where we do not have a mandatory direct deposit for paychecks. This has worked out nicely for me until now. I will be starting a contract position with a company that is located in Kansas however, the temp company is located in NC. I was told they only do direct deposit which I don't want to do. Do I have any options besides not taking the position?

North Carolina does NOT prohibit mandatory direct deposit.

If you don't have a checking account, many banks will give you one for free with direct deposit.
