My employer failed to pay into UI fund, how can I recieve benefits?

My employer had me classidief as an independant contractor, but my research finds that I was misclassified.

I am now unemployed after 7 years with this employer.

What should I do?

Two things you can do.

1.) Report the misclassification to the DOL

2.) Ask your UI commission if there is a fund for employees in your situation. Some states do.
