Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication Mip

Last night my boyfriend got a ticket for Minor in possession. He was given a court date and we were just wondering what to expect at court and what the penalties could be. We live in King county, Washington. He is 18 and he was not driving.

Also, about a month ago he also got a ticket for not having a seat belt on. The fine isn't due yet, but should he pay it before he goes to court or does it matter?
