Michigan Notary Validation Question

If the printed name on a notary stamp is misspelled and does not match that person drivers license or his application to be a notary, is that person valid to notarize documents?

If the person has a valid notary commission, they are a notary. Ask to see their commission certificate, and check that against their driver's license.

If they have a valid commission but their stamp has their name misspelled, I'd consider using someone else.
