Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft I need some good advice please

My sis is 16 and she got caught shoplifting in (store name). BTW we live in CA. Her civil claim paper came today for $350.00. She's a minor and this is her first time shoplifting. Will she have to go to court? Will she have to pay for what she stole, too? Will the judge assign her another amount to pay? If the store sends a civil demand for money, does she still go to court? I'm going crazy! HELP

Did the store file a Police report? Did Police show up at time or arrest

Will she have to pay for what she stole, too?

If sh eis founde guilty or pleads that way there will be fines. If the items taken were damaged sh emight have to pay restitution

Will the judge assign her another amount to pay?

I would call the number on the paper and talk with someone to work out payment arrangements if you cannot pay the amount in full by the requested date.

This is a CIVIL fine which is seperate from the CRIMINAL part of the incident in question.
