My wife and I are both on H-1B. I have approved I-140 with PD date locked in. My wife will potentially max out her 6-year H1B mid-next year. Her company just started her PERM process but apparantly by the time her H-1B max out, she cannot renew beyond her 6-year term. My question is how do I initiate to help her apply H4 EAD card? Since she is on H-1B now, should her quit her job first and transition into H4 status first before applying EAD. Or she can maintain her H-1B and also apply H4 EAD at same time? Thanks
