i left my husband 6 months ago i took my youngest child with me he refused to let my sons come to for they recieved disablity checks last month my boyfriend and i moved in husband called a false report to dcf saying im not letting him see his daughter they told me i had to let her go to him now hes refusing to let me talk to any of my kids and that ill never see them again i get threating letters email that if i dont stop hell cause more hurt to me i dont know what else to do but there is alot of stuff i dont wantto say here that needs to be said i need some help im poor and 600 miles from the kids atm my kids ask why they cant talk to me but get told your mom left me so no im in florida kids are in anderson sc help please

can he denie me phone calls all dcf states is we need to set up visitiation my other guestion is can i file for custody of my kids in florida or do i need to do this in sc

You must hire a lawyer immediately.

If you have moved out of state it is going to be very hard for you to secure custody. Somebody has to file for custody and visitation. Since the kids are in SC you probably have to file there but be advised you moving does not look good. you might be stuck giving cusotdy with Dad and you having visitation. You really need to talk to an attorney.

i have enough evidence that can prove hes not a good father to them i had one child here with me till dcf stepped in and told me to send her to her father now im going thru hell with the father to talk to kids on the phone if i call he sends threating emails to me saying hell make my life hell hell do something else to me with these emails and other things proving him un fit can i get the kids does this give me hope i can not afford a lawyer i make min wage so am asking if i can do this with out one ?

No lawyer. Get one. Understandable about income but some lawyers let you pay as you go. Get the phone book out and start searching. You need one.

1 how long does a dcf case stay open if the case is unfounded


father of child got pissed off cause i did not let him get his way for visitation of youngest child who was in my custody here in florida and him with the younger boys in sc called dcf to complain and filed a false report with them they showed up on 16 of april 9 13 15 recieved threating letters thru email that he was going to put me thru hell ) to my home talked with me boyfriend boyfreinds mom and my child my childs school and said that everything was fine case worker said she would show her supervisior and that would be it ( i showed her and the cop who came to home the threating letters cop advised me to get restrainting order ) ( i have not done since dcf told me next day after they talked to father again that i ned to take my child and leave my boyfriend for my husband father of child did not like him i did as they asked i was given a time frame that we would come back home together of a week and then got a callthe next morning that i was to leave boyfriend or give dcf my child i said no to both and let the father of child come pick her up to get his vistation now im going thru her to get any visitation with any of my kids 2 months later no help and dcf saying they not getting infoved when they and father started this whole mess threating emails saying if i call hell hurt me more
so my question is when i get paper showing case closed unfounded can i go get my kids from him (cops here say yes )

i can prove hes abusive if my oldest kids will back me up and not lie for him which he says they will do my younger kids also know hes abusive for my 5 year old daughter stated to dcf here that her dad spanks so with this and younger kids missing so much school and failing there is porn all over to house kids have seen it and the porn videos that are in kids reach the threating letters do i have enough for a good case
