I was disappointed to receive an email from the New York State Bar Association to find out that they want to charge for a webinar on Coronavirus / COVID-19 -
Coping with Coronavirus | A Global Immigration Law Update (Webinar)
I certainly can appreciate costs involved and the fact that it offers CLE credits. But in this particular instance, especially the current crisis, I thought they could waive the $50/$150. This reminds me of when I volunteered for the Pro Bono legal services for 9/11. I may still have an electronic copy of the manual, never thinking I'd use it again and here we are 20 years later with another crisis, this one a much more far reaching pandemic.
I'm going to try to compile a list of legal resources here in an article with free legal webinars on the topic. I think it would certainly help attorneys and laypersons trying to make sense of a myriad of legal issues during this time of crisis and cancellations. Here are some important webinars I found:
