I am a single parent trying to make a living for my child and I. However the problem started 4yrs ago. With a co-worker I supervise making sexual comments and shortly after grabbed my breast. Since that my co-worker has done the following: make sexual comments, taunt me with one day having my job and each year complaining to my boss that he feels he does more work than I. My boss (main person over workplace) on the other hand after reporting co-worker threatened me if I told it would cost me my job. On many occasions I voiced I had problems dealing with what happened. I was told to deal with it and to not say anything or it would be my job. My boss began having me ride places with him saying non-job related things and pulling at his crotch. He told me it was not sexual harassment and a couple of times said he had an infection however it was to stay between us or I would be fired. My boss has accommodated my co-workers complaints on job duties and my co-worker's wife is my boss's secretary who is in charge of personnel. In 2005, I had breast reduction thinking that would make me less desirable. When I told my boss, he said you have ruined yourself now and I would soon see. Days later, post it notes questioned my work and he had Main headquarters to evaluate program. When I confronted him if he had problems with my job he said nothing. My evaluation of course was bad (have never had a bad one in 10yrs). I have now been demoted instead of fired like he first said. State merit laws cover me. Do I have grounds for discrimination, sexual harassment and/or hostile work environment?
