My question is in regards to Adjournment. I am acting in Pro Per for a change of custody case with my ex-husband. (Divorced for 6 years). He however just retained counsel. His lawyer is stating that the date the referee hearing is scheduled for is not "good for her", so do I have to agree to an adjournment to a later date to fit her schedule? She even states that since I brought forth the motion I have to request the adjournment as she cannot. I know its a tactic on their part, due to time sensitive issues that need to be addressed in my motion. Any advice...besides get a lawyer...
