Wrongful termination?

About two days ago I was on my lunch break when something happened. I went to a secluded area where I would smoke a little pot, go get my lunch, eat it then go back to work. Well this lunch a cop came up behind me from this private dirt road and asked me to get out of the car because he said my car reeked and I looked suspicious. He then proceeded to put me in handcuffs and search my car but didn't find anything. He called in two more sheriffs and they both searched my car with no luck. They gave me a sobriety test and I passed. So they had me standing in cuffs with nothing to arrest me on and proceed to call my job and tell them what I was doing. Upon returning to work I was immediately fired. I feel like they may have been justified with firing me but I also feel that they aren't. The cops didn't convict me of anything and they had no proof to say what I was actually doing there. I was just curious to know if what they did was illegal or legal. Thank you for your time.

In at-will employment you can be terminated at any time for any reason except a reason prohibited by law (religion, gender, race...) or unless you have a binding employment contract to the contrary.

I don't see a wrongful termination. You need to look for other employment & file for unemployment ins. The state will decide if you qualify for it.

Cops are free to rat, too.
