Workers Comp. Attorney

I was physically assaulted at work. Due to the assault I injured my back and neck. This occurred in May of 2016.
Besides filing a workers comp. Claim for my back and neck, I also filed a stress claim.
My attorneys assistant is denying me from talking to my attorney regarding my claim.
I am seeing a doctor for my back with no therapy in place even though I have asked. I have not been referred to a doctor at all for my stress claim. All of a sudden I am scheduled for a deposition. Is this a common practice?
Thank you very much

Yes, the opporsing party likely wants to put you on the record under oath about the claim and injuries.

All you do is show up, tell the truth as best you remember it, and when you can't recal, you say, "Sorry, I don't recall anything about that."

Listen to the questions, don't interrupt, if you don't understand the question - ask for clarification, be polite, don't argue, if you start that; things will get rough for you.
