Work Place Hours being docked

Hi, I am asking a question regarding an employer docking time that has been worked. My employer has enforced that if you make an error clocking in and out during the day he is going to take 30 minutes each time you make an error. can my employer do that???

Not legally, no. But SAYING he's going to do it is not against the law - no laws have been violated until he actually does it. And a really easy way to make sure it never happens is to clock in and out properly.

You have to be paid for all time worked so that would not be legal. However; as noted, clock in & out correctly.
