Who would be at fault if driver 1 runs a red stop light causing driver 2 to strike driver 1? But driver 2 does not have a drivers license? Driving without a license, you can't obtain insurance on your vehicle.

If you drive your mother's car without a valid drivers license, but mom has insured her car, the insurer won't compensate anyone you injure or repair any damage you caused to mother's car.

The same no compensation result would apply if the other driver were unlicensed and damaged mother's car.
