Hi, I have been married for less then a year, and things are not good , I'm considering seperation, my question is , in October when our lease is up , I want to move to a new apartment . My wife does not want to move . If I move and she does not move with me, am I in any way responsible for paying her rent, where ever she decides to go, again the current lease will be up.
Thanks

You don't HAVE to pay anything to anybody when the time comes to ditch your wife.

At least not until a court of law says you do.

Avoid wondering, worrying, "what-ifing"; file for divorce SOONER, RATHER THAN LATER, then move on with your life.

If there are children, yes, child support will become an issue.
Otherwise, no kids, it's a cake walk.
