I have 2 children...one is 21 and the other is almost 19. Child support is currently being taken from my check. I live in MS and the age of majority is
21. Shouldn't they have stop taken the child support out for the 21 year old? The 19 year old is no longer in school...will I have to get a lawyer to stop the child support for him? How much does it normally cost?

Thanks

You may not need an attorney but perhaps call the child support bureau and ask them how to stop support.

Indiana is 21, too. Unless you can prove certain things like

1. 18 years old
2. not enrolled in college or high school for the four month prior to filing for emancipation.
3. is or is capable of working
4. married
5. armed forces.

There is more but I can't think of them right now. I don't know about where you are. Contact an attorney.

Good luck, gearhart7
