What do I need to start a living trust?

I am just now starting the process of creating a living will (or whatever is the most appropriate). I need to know what forms I need, & who do I take them to when completed? What is the process, step by step?

My husband & I have a 1 year old son & we own property, etc.. We need to make sure he is appointed a guardian & our estate an executor.

A "living will" is an incorrect newspaper term for a durable health care power of attorney.

You need one of those.

You also need a durable financial power of attorney.

If you want to set up a living trust, that would be a good idea also.

Hire a lawyer who is familiar with all this.
