April 15th is the deadline that will cost you money if missed. And that's not here yet.

Until then, if he/she is not performing to your expectations and/or agreement, you obviously can fire him/her and get someone else.

What deadlines specifically did the tax attorney miss? Tell me that, and I can tell you what you'd need to do to address it. I'm guessing you are not using the attorney to file basic income tax returns as you could get those done less expensively with a CPA, enrolled agent, or unenrolled tax preparer. So what is that that you hired the lawyer to do for you and what got missed?

I can't TELL you what to do, mate, but if someone "stiffs" or "fails" me; I find another, competent professional to replace the unprofessional one.
