me and my childs father are not married and we do not have any thing on file through the courts for child support or custidy. He did sign the birth certificate. What I need to know is what measures should I make to ensure that when we separate that he doesnot run off with her and can he file her on his income taxes if she lives with me and I provide all of her expense: ( daycare, food, diaper, etc).

That will all be decided during your child support and custodial proceedings. Make sure you find yourself a good attorney to draft a plan that will be of satisfaction to both parties when it comes to custody, child support and claiming the child on their income taxes. Hope this helps!
